Looking for an unforgettable way to experience the Okanagan beyond the water? Trade the lake for the mountains and take a journey back in time on one of Kelowna’s most iconic cycling routes — the Myra Canyon section of the Kettle Valley Rail Trail.
At Lakefront Sports, we’re excited to offer fully guided Myra Canyon bike tours, complete with transportation, bike rental, and a friendly, knowledgeable guide to lead the way. This isn’t just a ride — it’s an adventure through history, nature, and some of the most breathtaking scenery British Columbia has to offer.
What Is the Myra Canyon & Kettle Valley Rail Trail?
The Kettle Valley Rail Trail (KVR) is a historic railway route turned recreational trail that winds through the Okanagan backcountry. The Myra Canyon section is by far the most famous, offering:
- 18 restored wooden railway trestles
- 2 stunning tunnels carved through rock
- 12km of mostly flat, scenic trail
- Unbeatable cliffside views of the valley below
It’s a photographer’s dream, a cyclist’s paradise, and one of Kelowna’s true hidden gems.
