Kettle Valley Rail Trail

If you’re looking for a deep dive into British Columbia’s history, do not skip out on the Kettle Valley Rail Trail! Situated in the central-southern area of the province, this widely known converted railway starts in the city of Hope and extends all the way to Castlegar, marking an impressionable 650 km’s of trail.

Dating all the way back to 1915, the Rail Trail has a certain kind of history that you can feel instantly when you’re on it. Choosing to ride along this trail means that you’ll get to take in some of Canada’s most spectacular mountain and valley scenery, not to mention some iconic sites. You might even get to witness some wildlife along the way! You can also choose to ride either the paved bike path or test your tires on the more challenging gravel.

If you’re looking to learn more about Canada’s history while riding, you should most definitely consider taking one of our guided bike tours! Our bike tours include transportation to the location, a guided tour to go along with your breath-taking views and of course, a guaranteed good time.

Myra Canyon Trestles

Whether you’re visiting from out of town or you’re an Okanagan local, the trestles are not to be missed! This adventure is a bit of a trek, but witnessing the astounding views from the top of the valley is an unmatchable feeling. The Trestles are another that you can experience through our guided bike tours - making your day trip that much more memorable and that much more fun!

The trestles are certainly rich in Canadian history and contain their own special kind of magic that you simply need to experience to understand. Because of the devastating Okanagan forest fire back in 2003, many of these trestles have since been rebuilt and the park was thankfully reopened back in 2008. Once you arrive, you’ll get to enjoy riding across 18 trestles and 2 mountain tunnels, all that were originally built between 1912 and 1914. The best part about this route is that it’s perfect for any level of cycling and has some of the best views of the entire Okanagan.

Rent yourself a mountain bike, pack a picnic and take part in this unforgettable experience.
